'SHE'S SO COOL!' PRINCESS ANNE WOWS IN ALL-GREY SUIT AND ICONIC SUNGLASSES IN EDINBURGH

was in Edinburgh yesterday to tour the Scottish capital's St James' Quarter, during which she met with Martin Perry, Director of Development Nuveen, and Ed Webb, Director of Development Management. The Princess also revealed the foundation stone for St James' Quarter, demonstrating that it was opened by herself.

Princess Anne yesterday, September 29, officially opened the St James' Quarter in Edinburgh, which is a 1.7msq ft lifestyle district in the heart of the city.

Before the opening ceremony, the Princess Royal was taken on a tour of the £1billion project, which includes 850,000sq ft of retail and leisure space, as well as an Everyman Cinema.

It will also soon feature W Hotel Edinburgh, a 75-bed Roomzzz aparthotel and 152 residential apartments called New Eidyn.

St James' Quarter, which is being delivered by Nuveen Real Estate, has been designed to integrate seamlessly with Edinburgh's transport network, cultural calendar, and historic fabric.

For the occasion, Anne donned a grey jacket with an upturned collar and buttons running down its centre, matched with a slightly pleated grey skirt.

The skirt reached just below her knees, meeting the tops of the royal's knee-high grey suede boots.

Anne accessorised with black leather gloves and a pair of pearl earrings.

Underneath her jacket she seemed to be wearing a black polo neck and a navy blue and white blouse.

Anne's hair was slicked back in its usual hairstyle, which consists of a bun-like do held in place with a hair grip.

She completed the outfit with her favourite pair of sunglasses, which have dark, rectangular lenses and a white frame.

Anne has donned these glasses on many occasions this year, including to watch a rugby match that marked the beginning of the Commonwealth Games in June.

At the time, the glasses seemed to be controversial among fans due to their quirky and unique nature.

Another notable occasion where Anne dazzled in her sunglasses was to visit Brompton Cemetery, again in June.

The Princess combined them with a light blue dress featuring a collar and buttons, as well as a subtle checkered print. Anne had accessorised with a slim belt and wore black, leather court shoes.

Yesterday, her sunglasses was not the only accessory to stand out as part of Anne's outfit: the royal carried a bag seen at various engagements in recent weeks.

A black leather and tartan saddle bag, the royal bought it from the Balmoral Castle gift shop for an affordable £80.95.

The bag is a clear nod towards the Queen as it represents the place where she peacefully died. Balmoral Castle was also the late monarch's favourite spot in the UK, where she visited regularly: it was a quiet corner of the country where she could spend a few days in the fresh, country air - in privacy.
